چکیده

We discuss a quantum non-demolition measurement (QNDM) protocol to estimate the derivatives of cost function with computer. The function, which is supposed be classically hard evaluate, associated average value operator. Then computer used efficiently extract information about and its derivative by evolving system so-called variational circuit. To this aim, we propose use detector that allows us directly an observable, i.e., function. With respect standard direct approach, leads reduction number circuit iterations needed run circuits. advantage increases if want higher-order derivatives. also show presented approach can lead further in terms total logical gates These results make QNDM valuable alternative implementing

Quantum Teleportation Using Quantum Non-Demolition Technique

Quantum teleportation is a transport of quantum state of a system to another similar system via a classical channel [1]. The principles of quantum mechanics demand that for realization of such a transport, the sender and the receiver must have two ancillary quantum systems, being strongly quantum-mechanically correlated (entangled). Quantum teleportation is a fundamental phenomenon of quantum w...

Quantum non-demolition measurements using Bose-Einstein condensates

We study possible scenarios for quantum non-demolition measurements using Bose-Einstein condensates. We show that the interactions between condensate atoms makes it possible to measure the atom number with minimal back action on the system. This is an example of atomic nonlinear optics that has significant implications in the quantum state preparation of the Bose condensates. Typeset using REVT...

Universal quantum computation on the power of quantum non-demolition measurements

universal quantum computation optical QIP, efficient resources In this letter we investigate the linear and nonlinear models of optical quantum computation and discuss their scalability and efficiency. We show how there are significantly different scaling properties in single photon computation when weak cross-Kerr nonlinearities are allowed to supplement the usual linear optical set. In partic...

Quantum non-demolition (QND) modulation of quantum interference

We propose an experiment where quantum interference between two different paths is modulated by means of a QND measurement on one or both the arms of an interferometer. The QND measurement is achieved in a Kerr cell. We illustrate a scheme for the realisation of this experiment and discuss some further developments.

Endoscopic Tomography and Quantum-Non-Demolition

We propose to measure the quantum state of a single mode of the radiation field in a cavity— the signal field—by coupling it via a quantum-non-demolition Hamiltonian to a meter field in a highly squeezed state. We show that quantum state tomography on the meter field using balanced homodyne detection provides full information about the signal state. We discuss the influence of measurement of th...
